‘Akhil Bharatiya Pustak Pradarshan’ – Book fair from October 3

‘Akhil Bharatiya Pustak Pradarshan’ has been organized by Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad and Pune Book Fair from October 3 to October 7.

This exhibition was organized in Swargate’s Ganesh Kala Krida Manch, and will be free and open for all, from 11 am to 8 pm. This information was given by Pune book Fair’s Director PNR Rajan.

On this occasion, Executive Director of Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad’s Milind Joshi and Deepak Karandikar were also present.

Rajan said that, today’s youth likes to study more, they need variety of topics. This book exhibition will be a good option for both youth and readers. Books available will be based  on management, trade, law, political are available in Marathi, Hindi, Sanskrit and other languages.

In this exhibition distributors of famous books from National and International, publishing institutions, educational institutions, India as well as Maharashtra government publication will be available in this exhibition. Along with that old texts and newspapers will also be available.

In this exhibition Publications Division Bharat Sarkar, Lalit Kala Academy Delhi, National Book Trust, Asiatic Society Kolkata and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will be present. Milind Joshi Executive Director of Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, said that everyday something new comes in the literary.

Authors have organized, the special event ‘Lekhak Apke Liye’ to introduce with their new book. With the help of Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, from 4 to 6 October the event is organized at Padmaji sabhagruha, Maratha Chambers of Commerce.

There will be separate book stalls for books on cultures of Saudi Arabia and Iran. And, the book fair will also have a special section for visually impaired, books on Braille and education aid for visually impaired.

On Thursday, a discussion and interview of professor and renowned Marathi writer, DM Mirasdar, will take place.

On Friday, Marathi poets Deepak Karandikar, Ramdas Phutane and Ghanshyam Dhende will participate in poem reciting programme. Goa Konkan Academy will present a cultural programme on Saturday and a panel discussion on ‘Reading habits changing scenario: facts and needs’ will be held.
