Strategy for the impending civic polls

All parties have announced that they would fight the civic polls independently. Though the constituents of Mahavikas Aghadi are together at the state level, they are ready to go alone in the municipal elections. Aditya Thackeray will be visiting Pune on Sunday and Monday. During his visit, he will inaugurate various projects and hold meetings with party office-bearers to plan for the elections. This was revealed by Shiv Sena Pune unit chief Sanjay More.

Decision about alliance will be made by the party leaders

The Shiv Sena has been preparing to contest alone in the civic polls in Pune for the past two years by conducting Shiv Sampark Abhiyan (contact drives), Shiv Samvad (interactions with citizens) programme. Efforts have been made to expand the party base in the city. “The decision about the alliance will be made by the party leaders, CM Uddhav Thackeray, Aditya Thackeray and Sanjay Raut. However, we are ready to fight on our own,” said Sanjay More.
