16 booked in Crime Branch raid on gambling den in Kharadi
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The Social Security Cell (SSC) of Pune Police Crime Branch raided an illegal gambling den and took action against 16 people. Valuables worth Rs 34,710 were seized. The action was taken on Friday in the Kharadi Bypass area. (Pune Crime News)
The SSC received a tip-off that some people were involved in illegal gambling in Kharadi. The team conducted a raid. Some people were found to be gambling. The team detained 15 people. Cash, gambling equipment worth Rs 34,710 were seized from them. An FIR has been filed against the 16 people under the Maharashtra Gambling Ban Act at the Vimantal Police Station. The detained people have been handed over to the police for further action.
This action was taken by a team comprising Sr PI Bharat Jadhav, API Ashwini Patil, police constables Manisha Pukale, Tushar Bhivarkar, Hanmant Kamble, Sandeep Kolge under the guidance of CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale and DCP Crime Amol Zende.
