Youth promises to help, then molests a woman

In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old woman was allegedly molested by a youth who promised to help her start her bike after it had developed snag.

The incident took place around 7 am near Chandere complex on Nagar road on Sunday. Her bike had stopped and the accused came to help her. However, he allegedly molested her.

Based on a complaint from the woman, Vimantal police station under Pune city police has registered a case against Kauslesh Kumar (24), a resident of Hadapsar. He has been arrested for an offence under section 354 (outraging modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
