Youth killed over suspicion of love affair with close female relatives; body parts found in Bhima river

Indapur : A youth was brutally murdered at river basin near Garakole bridge of Bhima river at Ganeshwadi-Bavda (Tal. Indapur) on suspicion of having immoral relations with women relatives. The victim has been identified as Sanjay Mahadev Gorve (23, resident of Takli, Tal. Madha, Dist. Solapur).

The body of the deceased youth was cut off into pieces by a sharp knife and his body was thrown into the river basin. A case has been registered against 4 accused on the complaint lodged by the deceased’s mother Manjusha Mahadev Gorve at Indapur police station. Two of the accused have been arrested  and one juvenile accused has been arrested on Thursday (January 21), police inspector Narayan Sarangkar said.

The accused Dada Kamble (resident of Bawda), Vicky alias Venkatesh Bhosale and Mahesh alias Shailesh Prabhakar Sonwane (resident of Takli, Madha taluka) suspected that the deceased Sanjay Gorve had immoral relations with his close female relatives. From there on 17th January, all the accused conspired and invited Sanjay to dine at Dada Kamble’s house. After that, the accused came to the Ganeshwadi-Bawada village boundary near Bhima river basin on a motor cycle. As soon as Sanjay reached there, they attacked him with a sharp weapon, cut off his arms, legs and torso and threw his torso in the river basin.

Meanwhile, the crime took place between January 17 to January 20. Inspector Sarangkar, Assistant Inspector Ajit Jadhav, Daji Dethe and their colleagues took the deceased’s body into custody from the Bhima river and further investigation is underway.
