Youth detained in drug party case in Pune; another detained from Mumbai

Pune: The Pune Police have detained two youths in the drug party on Fergusson College Road case. The duo is seen consuming drugs in the video clip that went viral on social media.

A youth has been detained in the city while another has been detained from Mumbai. The one detained in Pune led to the detention of another youth. They are being interrogated.

The police suspect that minors were present in the pub and consumed drugs too. Blood samples of the two youths will be taken for testing. They are in the age group of 24-25. They are friends and stepped into the pub at 1.30 am.

Anti-encroachment action against hotels, pubs

The Anti-Encroachment Department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has started razing encroachments of hotels and pubs on Fergusson College Road. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday issued orders to take the action

Seven officers and personnel suspended

Four officials from the Pune Police and two from the State Excise Department have been suspended in the drug party case. Two beat marshals and two senior police officials faced the action. PI Anil Mane, API Dinesh Patil and policemen Gorakh Doiphode and Ashok Adsul are the names of suspended officials. Excise Inspector Vitthal Bobade and Assistant Inspector Anant Patil faced suspension too.
