Youth assaulted with sickle during Rangapanchmi celebrations

Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR of attempted murder against Shandy Shendkar, Rajkumar Pardeshi, Rishi Bhagat, Altaf Shaikh, Sufiyan Shaikh, Dinesh Phalke and their aides, all residents of Balaji Nagar, Dhankawadi.
The incident took place opposite Torna Heights building at Balaji Nagar at Dhankawadi on Sunday at 9.30 pm.
According to the police, the complainant and his friends Jai Pawar and Om Pawar were playing with colours, the accused, who were known to them, came there. They asked Om Pawar what he was doing there and started abusing him. They later assaulted him. When the complainant and Jai Pawar went to help their friend, they were assaulted and were injured. They threatened the locals who wanted to help the complainant with sharp weapons. PSI Mulani is probing the case.
