Yet another Satynarayan Puja in college

It seems that the Superior stringent action did not pay as the warning alarm to another college for holding religious rituals puja in an academic institution has prompted yet another college to hold Satyanarayan Puja in Pune based reputed prestigious college.

Recently, Students in Fergusson College agitated against the Satyanarayan Puja held in the college on Wednesday on September 5 date. They also got support from many progressive groups from the city. That issue was just getting faded and now another college has done the same thing. So now everyone’s eyes are on the progressive groups which supported the agitation of Fergusson college.

Some days ago Satynarayan Puja was organized by the college but it was canceled the higher authorities. But now information has come up that ignoring the instructions of higher authority, Abasaheb Garware College organized Satyanarayan Puja on Wednesday morning.

After the news of Satyanarayan Puja came in highlight, there are mixed reactions are coming from all parts of the society. Many students union are strongly criticizing this act of college by saying that this is the place to give knowledge and not to spread religious ideas.

Satyanarayana Puja was supposed to take place at Garware college last week only but after noticing the Agitation and protest of students and other youth political groups against the puja in FC. The college decided to cancel it but even after the instruction from higher authorities the college carried out the puja.
