Yavatmal: Four charged for beating, assaulting four students

Yavatmal :  Four persons were booked for allegedly beating up and robbing four students on Monday, the police said. The accused further molested the two girls from the group, Avadhutwadi police said. The complainant, Kolhe is a class 11 student living at Guruvani Layout Wagahpur. On Monday, he was standing on a road in the Lohara MIDC area with three of his friends.

At that time, the four accused came on a two-wheeler (M.H. 31 B.T. 6333) and started beating the two boys and snatched their two wheeler and mobile phones. The accused then took the two girls to a secluded place and molested them. The accused looted items worth Rs 35,000 from the students and fled the scene.

Avadhutwadi police have registered a case against the four unidentified persons under Sections 394, 363, 341, 354 (a), 323, 506, 34 and Section 8, 12 of the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse Act 2012. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Madhuri Baviskar visited the spot and inspected the incident. The case is being further investigated by Police Sub-Inspector Rahul Guhe.
