A &#8216;Burden&#8217; For Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>New Delhi:<\/strong> In a survey conducted by a committee came to the conclusion that alternate modes of learning do not ensure equitable quality learning for students. The Ministry of Education directed the NCERT to form a committee. This survey was conducted after seeing the struggle of students stemming from the online modes of learning.<\/p>\n<p>According to the survey during and after unlock, 50% of students are facing problems, 20-30% of participants shared that they had a difficult experience and about 10-20% said that it was burdensome for them.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00a028% of respondents said one of the major reasons for disturbance in the teaching-learning process is due to lack of electricity, 27% of respondents complained about the non-availability of smartphones and laptops.<\/p>\n<p>This disparity in alternative modes of learning is due to unequal distribution of time of teachers, lack of superior technology, and lack of assistance at home. This means an alternate mode of learning has led to the loss of learning of students. Another reason for hindrance is poor internet\/network connectivity\/signal, states survey<\/p>\n<p>However, the results differ in the case of KVS, NVS, and CBSE. The survey shows the positive responses of students toward online learning. Around 60-70% of the participants are joyful and satisfactory. The reasons are 46.4% of teachers had planned interesting activities, 46.8% learned through their own schedule and 34% of parents\u2019 participated in the teaching-learning process.<\/p>\n<p>The survey also revealed the most difficult subject to learn online is mathematics. This was followed by the learning of Science as these subjects require practical assistance.<\/p>\n<p>The pandemic situation has hit education on a severe scale, however, the \u00a0Ministry of Education is taking steps to minimize the loss.
