Women officers offer Salami to the tricolor at the commissioner office

The commissioner office in Pune also marked the day with a grand celebration. The commissioner of Pune, Dr. K. Venkateshwara hoisted the national flag.

The most unique feature of the event that all the women police officers were present just behind the commitment to offer ‘Guard Salami’ to the tricolor. Reportedly, The moment of exceptionally prestigious for all the officers, who were the part of the event.

Today, India is celebrating 72nd Independence Day. It has become a ritual for the everyone to celebrate it in a grand way. The seven decades have seen plenty of changes within the country. Our socio-economic and technological developments are the proofs of our nation’s credibility. Today’s event where the women officers were given the honor is the true example of feminism and women empowerment.

It was a very overwhelming act to witness the women officers standing there ready to honor our flag. It truly was a cherry on the cake moment for all the women as well as their families.

All the officers of the various post were present during the ceremony to salute the tricolor. As per the decorum of the law enforcement department, there was a morning parade conducted at the event.

There are many police officers who take a leap of faith on their fate and risk their lives to protect the citizens. All these officers were honored and acknowledged by the commissioner. They were given a bouquet of flowers and a certificate following the flag hoisting. Many officers were given batches considering their promotions and posts respectively.
