According to the police, the complainant is a doctor and her son works in Canada. She purchased a NA plot through a purchase deed. She later read a notice in a newspaper on March 12, 2023 which stated that her land was owned by Mangesh Vilas Kale.

When she made enquiries, she came to know that a fake power of attorney was registered at the Haveli sub registrar’s office on August 4, 2022. Another woman was produced at the office and Rahul Mane and Kiran Patil made signatures as witnesses.

After registering the power of attorney, Mangesh Kale purchased the complainant’s land for ₹13 lakh through a purchase deed at the Baramati sub registrar’s office. The same unidentified woman was produced in the office who made fake signatures of the complainant. A fake signature of her son (Rohit Yashwant Doiphode) was made. The purchase deed was made when the complainant’s son was in Canada. Shivraj Thorat is a witness but the complainant does not know him.

When she visited her land, she saw that her name plate had been removed. After she visited the talathi office, she found that Mangesh Kale had made an application to delete her name and add his name and got the application approved. An FIR of cheating by a planned conspiracy has been registered.
