When farmer bridegroom arrived in helicopter….

NPnews24 Online Pune : The wedding of Wadekar and Devkar on Wednesday in Hinjewadi has become talk of the town. The special feature of this marriage was that bridegroom reached the venue in a helicopter.

The wedding ceremony of groom Ashok Babanrao Wadekar of Donegaon in Maval taluka and Pooja Devkar of Mulshi taluka performed in Hinjewadi. There was huge crowd in Donegaon to see Wadekar board the helicopter while proceeding with the marriage party. Accompanied by band party, he went to the spot where the helicopter was parked and then boarded to reach at the wedding venue in Hinjewadi. All this while he was surrounded by bodyguards. He left at 11 am and reached Hinjewadi within few minutes.

The marriage ceremony was organised at Shiv Parvati Lawns located on the Maan-Hinjewadi road, near the IT Park. The helicopter was hired for Rs 75,000 per hour.
