11 officials and staff suspended for registering documents by violating RERA Act

Pune : NpNews24 OnlineViolation of Rera Act in Pune | The Inspector General of Registration has taken strict action against 44 officers and staff at the Deputy Registrar Office for registering documents by violating the RERA Act. Of them, 11 officials and staff have been suspended and an inquiry is being held against remaining officials and staff. This information was given by Deputy Inspector General of Registration Govind Karad in a press release.

 

According to the information available from the Department of Registration and Stamp Duty, there were many complaints that the officials and staff at the Deputy Registrar Office were registering documents by violating the RERA Act.

 

A special squad had been formed to examine how documents are registered at Secondary Registrar Haveli No 3 and other offices in Pune.

 

During the examination, it was found that 44 officials and staff had registered 10,561 documents. A report was sent to the state government.

 

The state government issued an order on March 3, 2022 that administrative action should be taken against 44 officials and staff. Accordingly, on Monday, seven officials and staff and four officials-staff have been suspended and a departmental inquiry is going on.

 

A departmental inquiry is being held against 9 officers and staff and a proposal to transfer them has been sent to the state government.

 

A show cause notice has been sent to eight officials and staff.
