Two persons booked for vandalizing a shop and an office in Bopkhel

Pimpri-Chinchwad: Two persons have been booked for allegedly vandalizing a Chinese restaurant and an office with a scythe at Bopkhel, after the restaurant owner, refused to give them food on credit.

The accused have been identified as Somnath Tondilkar and Papi alias Manoj Shirke (both of Bopkhelgaon). Akash Abhimanyu Waghmare (resident of Ramnagar, Bopkhel) has filed a complaint in this regard. The plaintiff owns a Chinese restaurant at Ganesh Nagar.

The accused came there around 8.30 pm on Wednesday and threatened to kill the plaintiff and his friend Vikas Narayan Ujagare with a scythe after the plaintiff refused to give him food on credit. The accused returned the next day and vandalized his shop. The accused also damaged Mahendra Waghmare’s office nearby. Dighi Police are investigating further in the case.
