Two arrested for burgling houses to fund drug habit; Police seize eight mobiles and two-wheeler

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime News | The team of unit two of Pune police Crime Branch arrested two goons whose modus operandi was to steal two-wheelers to commit burglaries and park the vehicles at the same spot. The team has seized eight mobiles and two-wheelers totally worth ₹1.85 lakh from them. They used to commit burglaries to fund their habit of smoking drugs. One of the accused has been identified as Yuvraj Singh Gurubachchan Kalyani, a resident of Ramtekdi, Hadapsar and his accomplice is a minor. (Pune Crime News)

 

An FIR of a burglary at a house was registered in the Pune Camp area on Wednesday. The team of unit two was conducting a parallel investigation. Policemen Qadir Shaikh and Sameer Patil came to know that the accused seen in the CCTV footage were at Dhobighat. The police went to the spot and apprehended them. They found eight mobiles and a stolen two-wheeler.

 

After they were questioned, they admitted breaking open the shutter of restaurants and juice bars in the Pune Camp area and stealing eight mobiles. The police managed to solve two crimes each registered at Lashkar and Swargate police stations and a crime registered at Wanawadi police station.

 

The action was taken by a team of police officials including API Bhosale, PSI Nitin Kamble, Rajendra Patole, policeman Shankar Nevse, Sanjay Jadhav, Gajanan Sonune, Sadhna Tamhane, Kadir Shaikh, Sameer Patel, Nikhil Jadhav, Mohsin Shaikh, Uttam Taru, Pramod Kokne, Vinod Chavan, Pushpendra Chavan, Rajapure and Nagnath Rakh under the guidance of Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende, ACP Sunil Pawar and senior PI Krantikumar Patil.
