Traffic changes on Saswad-Kapurhol road in view of Datta Jayanti
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Dattatreya Jayanti – 2022 | Since a procession will be staged on the occasion of Dattatreya Jayanti at Shri Kshetra Narayanpur in Purandar Taluka, Collector and District Magistrate Rajesh Deshmukh has ordered diversion of heavy traffic on Saswad to Kapurhol road from 11 pm on 4 December to 12 noon on 8 December. Heavy vehicles on the Kapurhol to Saswad route will go from Kapurhol to Pune through the new tunnel on the Bangalore-Pune highway and heavy vehicles from Saswad to Kapurhol will go to Sarola via Saswad-Veer route and Katraj Chowk via Saswad-Dive Ghat route.
Dattatreya Jayanti will be celebrated on behalf of Sri Datta Sevakari Mandal at Shri Kshetra Narayanpur from 5 to 7 December 2022. Along with Maharashtra, devotees from the states of Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Rajasthan also come for darshan. (Dattatreya Jayanti – 2022)
Devotees also go to the nearby Balaji temple in Ketkawale village.
The order mentions that as locations of both the temples are on the Saswad-Kapurhol route, traffic of heavy vehicles is being diverted so that traffic regulation and law and order issues should not arise during the yatra period.
