Traffic arrangement altered to avoid congestion due to metro work at Vidyapeeth Chowk
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Traffic Updates News | Work of a flyover will be planned soon at Acharya Anandrishiji Chowk and additional barricading will be done for that by MahaMetro. Therefore, in order to avoid traffic congestion at this place, the Pune Traffic Police have planned changes in traffic in the area of Pune Vidyapeeth Chowk and Ganesh Khind road. This planning is on an experimental basis and the change will be implemented from next two to three days. Traffic arrangement has been changed at Savitribai Phule Pune University Chowk, Baner Road, Pashan Road, Ganesh Khind and Senapati Bapat Road areas. The police have appealed to citizens to follow the rules and use alternative routes. (Pune Traffic Updates News)
The changes in the traffic are as follows:
– Vehicles coming to Vidyapeeth Chowk on Baner-Aundh road are proposed to go to Shivajinagar in the left lane without signaling. Pedestrians will be given time to cross the road at Vidyapeeth Chowk.
– Earlier, there was a U-turn at Cosmos Bank to go to Senapati Bapat Road via Ganeshkhind Road. This U-turn will be closed and the right turn will be allowed from Senapati Bapat road junction.
– Traffic going from Chatuhshrungi temple towards Vidyapeeth Chowk will be diverted from Senapati Bapat Road junction by turning left towards Pashan.
Alternative roads to Aundh
Alternate Circular Route 1 – From Ganeshkhind and Senapati Bapat Road to Pune University, Chatuhshrungi Police Station, vehicles going to Kasturba Gandhi Colony by Pashan Road, turn right at Sinhagad Gate and turn right on Baner Road, turn left from Vidyapeeth Chowk towards Aundh.
Alternative Route 2 – From Pashan Road to Abhimanashree Society, Pashan Road Junction, turn right to Abhimanashree Society, Baner Road Junction, turn right, Baner Road, turn right, straight through Vidyapeeth Chowk, turn left towards Aundh.
Alternate Route 3 – From Senapati Bapat Road via Pashan Road for vehicles going towards Aundh – Abhimanashree Society, Pashan Road Junction, turn right to Abhimanashree Society, Baner Road Junction turn left to Baner Fata, turn right Sarja Hotel Corner, turn left to Croma mall road or Baner Fata turn right to I.T.I. Road from Parihar Chowk to the desired destination.
Alternative route to Ganeshkhind from Rajiv Gandhi Bridge
– From Breman Chowk turn left to Spicer College Road, Ambedkar Chowk, Sai Chowk, turn right to Khadki Police Station railway underpass turn left to Church Chowk,
Old Pune-Mumbai Highway can be used by motorists.
– Vehicles going from From Pune Station, Koregaon Park, Mundhwa towards Aundh
Engineering College Flyover, Wakdewadi, Poultry Farm Chowk, Church Chowk, turn left to Khadki Police Station Underpass, turn left to Mariai Mandir, turn right to Gogadev Chowk, turn right to Football Ground, turn right to Sai Chowk, turn left to Ambedkar Chowk, Spicer Chowk, go to the desired destination through Breman Chowk.
