Mumbai : Now the trend of eSIM service is increasing in India. After Bharti Airtel, now Vodafone-Idea has also launched its eSIM service in India. Vodafone has also launched the e-SIM for postpaid users, which have been made available to the users of Delhi, Gujarat and Mumbai circles. This means that now with the help of this service, users will be able to use the service in the phone without any physical SIM card. Although initially it will work only on a few devices.

The company has also released a list of devices along with the announcement of eSIM, according to which the company’s new service will work on Apple devices iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone SE, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR .

That is, at the moment it has been introduced only for iOS, but Vodafone Idea says that soon it will also support Android, whose list includes Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Fold.

How does eSIM work?
In high-end devices, e-SIM acts like an integrated SIM chip, meaning that customers do not need to install a separate SIM card in the phone. The good thing is that in this way, postpaid users can get the facility to access calls, SMS and mobile data from Vodafone-Idea number without installing any SIM card in the phone.

How to get Vodafone-Idea’s eSIM?
First of all, keep in mind that if you are already a customer of Vodafone Idea and you have an iPhone in the model given in the list, then you can easily use eSIM.

>> For this, you have to first send a message, type ‘eSIM email id’ and send it to 199.

>> If your email ID is not registered with the mobile number, then you have to send ’email email id’ to 199.

>> Once the e-mail id is validated, you will get a message from the number 199, after which you will have to reply to that message by typing ‘ESIMY’.

>> After this you will get another message.

>> Then a QR code will come on the email ID, after scanning it you will be able to activate the e-SIM.
