Thieves fire on Pune policemen

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE: PUNE: There was an incident of firing on police in Bopodi, when the cops saw thieves trying to break lock of a jewelry shop on Bhai Patil road. Luckily, the thief’s bullet missed the target and no policeman sustained any injury.

According to Khadki police station, beat marshall Madhav Kopnar and his buddy were patrolling when they saw the thieves cutting lock of Vardhman Jewelers. As they were going close, the thieves too saw them and one of them fired at the policemen. However the bullet missed the target and hit a private vehicle. They fled in a SUV.

After the incident, senior police officials were informed and they visited the spot. Officials from Khadki police station and Crime Branch are searching for the accused persons.
