Thieves enter fortified SRPF campus, steal sandalwood
Pune : NpNews24 Online –Pune Crime News | Sandalwood thieves who steal sandalwood from the well-guarded premises of government offices now have dared to enter the premises of SRPF Group and stolen sandalwood. So, now the police have to investigate the theft on their own premises. (Pune Crime News)
A case has been registered in this matter at the Wanawadi Police Station.
According to the police, there are two battalions of SRPF Group 1 and 2 in Ramtekdi area of Wanawadi. No one can enter this place without permission. There is a 24-hour police guard at the entrance. Yet three to four sandalwood thieves entered the bungalow area of SRPF Group 1. They cut down a sandalwood tree and stole it away. Many sandalwood trees in the premises of NCL and other army and government offices have been cut and stolen by thieves in the past.
