These 56 IT Companies migrated from Hinjewadi due to traffic chaos ?

Pune which had got an image of IT hub a decade back soon will be known for the traffic chaos. As around 56 companies based in the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park are migrating not due to inflation but due to escape from Traffic chaos.

Hinjewadi Industrial Association has denied the shifting of the companies, in their explanation it said that, ” None of these 56 companies were Situated in Hinjewadi IT Park.”

Hinjewadi is the largest IT park in the state. Many multinational companies, along with national companies, have started business-related businesses in the state and outside the state. However, since the last several years, the Hinjewadi IT Park has been found and stressing about the traffic congestion issues. Traffic failure and lack of infrastructure have become a key issue for the companies on which they have the plan to take such a decision.

On Daily bases, more than 50 lakh vehicles ply on city roads. Considering the image of Pune city which was known as Pensioners city, Oxford of the east, Cultural capital, automobile establishment and later with pitching in of IT Companies since 2006 city was known for IT hub. The rapidly increase from Hinjewadi IT Park phases one, two and three lack in basic infrastructures it seems.

Such number troll to 56 such IT companies which are National and International companies, includes six multinationals International company working in the financial sector and 50 smaller scale companies migrated from Hinjewadi IT Park, due to the road traffic at the Hinjewadi IT Park. If the migration of companies continued the same, then the status of IT Park would be more prone to increase in Migration.

So the new destination of such IT companies which are shifted area in Wakad, Baner, Balewadi, Tirtha IT Techno Space and other areas of Pune. Multinational companies have shut down their Offshore Development Center (OSDC) in Hinjewadi Park too.

For traffic violation, Pune police ‘stop’ passport of 92 persons

According to few IT companies they claimed that this is due to delay in the completion of the alternate road to Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, close to two lakh people on daily based on an average likely to face traffic congestion on the roads leading to Hinjewadi for six more months. In March, Hinjewadi Industries Association (HIA) representatives during a press conference said that the traffic chaos due to inadequate road condition is causing them a cumulative loss of Rs.25 crore every day.
