Pune Cyber police arrest IAS officer Sushil Khodwekar for role in MahaTET scam

Pune : NpNews24 OnlineTET Exam Scam | In a major action, the Pune cyber police arrested IAS officer Sushil Khodwekar for his role in the MahaTET scam. Senior PI DS Hake revealed this her on Saturday.

 

IAS Khodwekar is currently posted as the Deputy Secretary, Department of School Education and Sports in Mumbai. This is the biggest action taken by the Pune cyber police in the TET scam so far. Earlier, Maharashtra State Council of Examination suspended Commissioner Tukaram Supe, consultant Abhishek Savrikar, Pritish Deshmukh and other officials were arrested in the scam.

 

Marks of around 7,880 candidates who had failed the TET 2019-20 were increased by manipulation and they were declared ‘qualified’. This was found in the investigation and was disclosed by CP Amitabh Gupta on Friday.

 

The cyber police had tallied the original results and the actual results declared. In all, 16,705 candidates were declared qualified in the exam. However, the police found that 7,880 candidates of these had actually been disqualified.

 

The Pune cyber police arrested Sushil Khodwekar from Thane. He will be produced before the Shivajinagar court in the afternoon.
