TET exam scam : 2,770 students passed by taking money in Nashik division

Pune : NpNews24 OnlineTET exam scam | Pritish Deshmukh of GA Software had taken money and passed unqualified 7,880 candidates in the 2019-20 Teachers Eligibility Test. He had passed 1,126 unqualified students who had come through agent Santosh Harkal, according to a probe by the cyber police.

 

The cyber police have arrested Mukund Jagannath Suryavanshi (33), a resident of Malegaon, Nashik district. Suryavanshi was produced in the court by PI Kumar Ghadge and he was remanded in police custody till March 14.

 

Mukund Suryavanshi is a teacher and one of the accused Rajendra Solunke and Suryavanshi hail from the same village.

 

The technical analysis of the laptop seized from Santosh Harkal has led to the discovery of an excel sheet which contains names of 1,270 students, seat number and caste.

 

The list of 1,270 names was tallied with TET 2019-20 final result and the hard disk seized from the office of GA Software company through a technical analysis.

 

The probe has revealed that marks of 1,126 students had been increased out of 1,270 names in Santosh Harkal’s laptop. A probe is being done to find out how many students had been contacted by Mukund Suryavanshi.

 

Government lawyer Vijay Singh Jadhav said that it has to be probed whether there were any other agents.

 

In the final result of the TET exam of 2019-20, 16,705 students had been passed. Of that, 7,800 unqualified students were passed by taking money through agents. In the Nashik division, the number of unqualified students who were passed is 2,770 and is the maximum compared to other divisions.
