Pandal. The mandal has installed a replica of Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Delhi. Devotees are making it a point to have a dekko at it. Particularly, the unique Ganesh idol of the mandal has become the cynosure of all eyes.
Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati is among the eight main mandals, including the Manache Ganpati. The mandal has installed a huge replica of the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir this year. The interior decoration and light effects have been attracting devotees in hordes. Hence, crowds have been swelling to pay obeisance to the Lord for the past five days. There were huge crowds at the weekend.
Eminent persons from art, social, political and administrative fields perform aarti daily. State Higher Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fanavis, MLA Rohit Pawar, Jayant Patil, Vishwajeet Kadam, Nana Patole, Prajakta Mali, Pooja Sawant, Tejaswini Pandit, AIATF President MS Bitta, Girnar Peeth Head Priest Mahesh Giri Bapu and others have performed the aarti and paid their obeisance to the Lord till date. Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust Celebration Committee Chief and Trustee Punit Balan, its President Sanjeev Jawle, Janhavi Balan Dhariwal remain present at the pandal till wee hours.
Rangari Wada is a crowd puller
The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Wada is adjacent to the pandal. Celebration Committee Chief and Trustee Punit Balan has renovated the old, historic wada. Devotees are learning about Bhausaheb Rangari’s struggle against the British Raj here.
The arms used against the British are on display at the wada. Devotees are flocking to see this.
Various social initiatives
Various social initiatives are being launched during the Ganesh festival. Free health check-ups, dental check-ups have been held till date. Eye camps, physiotherapy camps will be held soon.
