Nine deaths in a family from Sangli are murders and not suicides
Sangli : NpNews24 Online – Sangali Crime | Shocking details have been revealed in the police investigation into the suspected suicide pact of nine people from a family at Mhaisal in Miraj taluka of Sangli district. Earlier, it was a suspected case of suicide. However, the police said it is a case of poisoning. The details were given by DSP Dixit Gedam.
The nine people from the Vanmore family had died on June 20 at Mhaisal. According to DSP Dixit Gedam, the police investigation into the deaths revealed that they did not die of suicide. They were poisoned. The police were thoroughly probing the incident in the past one week. They succeeded in going to the roots of the case. As many as 19 people have been arrested under section 302 of the IPC in this regard. Two accused poisoned them. Other details are being probed. The investigation is going on.
Earlier, it was reported that Manik Vanmore, a veterinary doctor, and his brother Popat Vanmore, a teacher, had committed suicides, along with their wives, children and mother. It was said that they could have consumed poison and died at the same time. It was questioned as to how nine members of a family could do this. The Vanmores were debt-ridden. It was suspected that they could have ended lives after getting fed up with the harassment by a moneylender.
However, shocking details cropped up in the investigation. It was learnt that they were poisoned.
