Samsung to launch new age smart that will be foldable

NEW DELHI: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – Samsung fans have a reason to rejoice as the South Korean consumer electronics giant may soon unveil its foldable smartphone. The company has already announced the dates for its annual developer conference. The Samsung Developer Conference will take place on November 7 and 8 in San Francisco.

Samsung has been openly working on a foldable smartphone for years, but the details have remained secret. Recent rumours have pointed to late 2018 reveal for the phone, and Samsung is hinting that this may be true. Samsung Mobile recently made a Twitter post advertising its upcoming Samsung Developer Conference. The tagline is “where now meets next”, which suggests something futuristic is coming.

DJ Koh Mobile Division Chief Samsung

Recently, DJ Koh, the mobile division chief of Samsung also revealed in an interview that the company will bring its foldable smartphone by the end of this year. So, there are chances that Samsung might introduce its foldable smartphone on November 3. Allegedly being called the Galaxy X smartphone, the device is going to be Samsung’s big bet especially with rising competition from other handset makers.

Features of the Samsung Galaxy X FOLDABLE

We haven’t witnessed any leaks or rumours related to the specifications or design of the foldable smartphone, however, it was reported that it will be called as the Samsung Galaxy X and will come with a 7-inch display once unfolded. On the other hand, some reports have also highlighted that the said Samsung Galaxy X might be priced at $1,850 (roughly Rs. 1,36,500).

Samsung fights back

Recently, Samsung launched its first smartphone with four rear cameras. The company launched the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) smartphone at an event in Malaysia. The USP of the smartphone is its rear camera which consist of 24MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture along with a 5MP sensor for depth effect with an aperture of f/2.2. There is an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor offering up to 120-degree viewing angle along with a 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and supports up to 2X optical zoom.
