RSS is the symbol of Terrorism says congress MLA

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – Eyeing the 2019 election congress has started targeting the think tanks of BJP that is RSS. In the declaration made by the congress for the Madhya Pradesh elections, they have declared that they won’t let any programme of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to happen in any government property.

Other congress leader have come up to speak against the RSS in order to destroy the mastermind of BJP. Now a congress MLA has made a controversial statement that RSS is the symbol of Terrorism in India.

This statement came from Congress MLA Sundarlal Tiwari. He is congress MLA from Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa. Tiwari, the sitting MLA from Gurh in Rewa, justified the Congress’ ‘promise’ in its poll manifesto of banning RSS shakhas in the government premises as well as not allowing the state employees to attend the shakhas, if voted to power. “It is a full-fledged political organisation, which got (Mahatma) Gandhi murdered and creates an atmosphere of fear and hatred in the society on religious lines. They never hoist the national flag in their shakhas. They are a symbol of terrorism.”

The remarks came a day after when MPCC president Kamal Nath tried dousing the fire on the matter saying the party only intends to ban government staffers from RSS shakhas and the RSS was free to hold as many shakhas as it wants to.

Sundarlal Tiwari is known for making controversial statements. Earlier, Tiwari had dubbed Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan a “prostitute” for making populist promises.

In Bhopal, Kamal Nath was again on the back foot due to Tiwari’s statement. “It could be Tiwari’s personal views. The party doesn’t endorse his views.”

Congress Ideation Cell chairman Bhupendra Gupta tried to steer clear of the controversy saying party’s stand has been clarified by the MPCC chief. On Tiwari’s remarks, Gupta said that the party would seek a clarification from him after looking into his statement.
