Pune Crime | RSS branch instructor brutally assaulted over row during annual festival in Pune

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime |  An incident has come to light wherein, a branch instructor of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was brutally assaulted with a wooden log and a leather belt over an argument in the annual festival of the organisation. Harshvardhan Sunil Harpude (21), a resident of Tawre Colony, Sahakar Nagar has lodged a complaint at the Sahakar Nagar police station. The police have arrested Kundan Sonawane, Rupesh Khade, Aman Sheikh, Hemant Jadhav and 4/5 minor boys. The incident took place at Adhyapak Colony’s ground in Sahakar Nagar on Tuesday at 8.30 pm.

According to the police, the complainant, Harshvardhan Harpude is studying the first year of LLB. He goes to the ground of the Adhyapak Colony for many years to teach children of the RSS local branch.

Hemant Jadhav, Kundan Sonwane, Aman Sheikh and others residing at Tangewala Colony used to come to the RSS branch. About 4 to 5 years ago, due to a quarrel in the annual festival of the RSS, they stopped visiting the branch.

On Tuesday, the complainant had gone to the branch. After finishing the daily programme, they were sitting on a bench and talking. Some children started beating up Amit Hiranwale. The complainant tried to stop them. Hemant Jadhav and Kundan Sonawane came there. Kundan beat up the complainant with his leather belt and Rupesh Khade used a branch of a tree to brutally assault the complainant. A wooden log was also used to beat up the complainant.
