Robbers for Chickpeas!

Now Pune police has encountered a new challenge in front of them. Robbers have been mostly found stealing gold jewelry, cash and such belongings. But, in this weird case, the thief ran away with the stolen bag of chickpeas, such case has been registered. The bag was stolen by an identified person.

This incident had taken place on busy road of Sinhagad road on day light.
A Pune based post graduate Swapnil Shivanand Kulkarni (25), a resident of Prayoja city on Sinhagad road lodged a complaint against unidentified person with Sinhagad road police station on Tuesday evening.

Kulkarni recalls, “I was on way to my class where I halted for a while to attend a natural call and I had hang one cloth bag in which I was carrying my passport, daily health capsule bottle and one kilogram chickpeas.”

Head constable R I Shaikh of Sinhagad police station probing the case said, “The incident has took place on Tuesday and we are investigating the case. It took place between 4 pm to 5 pm. It seems Kulkarni had parked his bike and kept the white bag hung on the bike. To trace the stolen bag we are scrutinizing the nearby CCTV camera footage and probing.
