Rickshaw driver killed after he objects to couple’s obscene acts; Incident takes place in Dapodi
PIMPRI : NpNews24 Online – Pune Pimpri Chinchwad Crime | An autorickshaw driver was killed by hitting him on his head with a stone after he objected to a couple indulging in obscene acts while sitting in an rickshaw. The incident took place at Ganesh garden Phase 3 on Sunday at 4.30 pm at Dapodi. An individual has been arrested. (Pune Pimpri Chinchwad Crime)
The deceased has been identified as Alim alias Ali Ismail Shaikh (42), a resident of Pimple Gurav.
The deceased’ brother Asif Ismail Shaikh (46), a resident of Nana Peth, has lodged a complaint. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR under sections 302, 323, 324, 504 and 506 of the IPC and under the Criminal Law Amendment Act and arrested Amit Balasaheb Kamble (26), a resident of Dapodi.
According to the police, the complainant’s brother is a rickshaw driver. On Sunday, Ali had parked his rickshaw (MH14 JP1408) at Javalkar Nagar. At 4.30 pm, he came near his rickshaw. He saw that the accused Amit was doing obscene acts with his girlfriend in the rickshaw. Ali scolded him and the accused, who was angry, assaulted him with bricks and a block of cement. Since Ali was seriously injured, he succumbed to his injuries. The police are investigating the case.
