Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh Dies At 64 After Prolonged Illness



Lucknow : Amar Singh, a former Samajwadi Party (SP) leader who has been battling a long time from illness, has passed away. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore due to illness. Amar Singh, once considered to be one of the tallest leaders of Uttar Pradesh, was among those who were close to Mulayam Singh Yadav, who was the head of the Samajwadi Party. Recently he had also apologized to Amitabh Bachchan.

Amar Singh was ill for a very long time and was undergoing treatment in Singapore for some months. A recent report published in the media said he was in ICU and his family was by his side. Amar Singh had suffered kidney failure in year 2013.
