Pune’s potential Congress candidate meets NCP supremo Sharad Pawar

Pune /Baramati : Np News Network – Pravin Gaikwad, whose name is doing is rounds for last many days about the possible candidate of Congress for Pune Lok Sabha seat, met NCP chief and senior leader Sharad Pawar at Govindbag in Baramati today (Saturday). Actor Dr Amol Kolhe was also present during the meeting.

Even though the meeting has been termed as courtesy visit, it has sent alarm bells in the political circles as the parties are expected to announce their candidates for the Lok Sabha seats in the next few days. Dr Kolhe and Gaikwad together meeting the NCP supremo, is being seen as indication of some new political equations before the Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections. Alongwith Gaikwad and Dr Kolhe, senior corporator of Baramati municipal corporation Kiran Gujar and Mukti Group’s chief Prafull Tawre were also present on the occasion. Kolhe is camping in Baramati as his mega historical play ‘Shivputra Sambhaji’ is being staged there. During his meeting, Kolhe informed Sharad Pawar about the play.

As the Lok Sabha elections are just few months ahead, any meeting between leaders invite talks among political circles. Though there is no consensus in Congress about their potential candidate, Gaikwad is said to be front runner among five possible names. policenama.com was the first to break this news. Therefore, Gaikwad’s meeting with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar is said to be of vital importance. Hence it has become talk of the town in the political circles.
