Pune’s next mayor will be from NCP : Jayant Patil

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Jayant Patil | “The electoral roll and booth committees are the very basis of the party structure. The entire party organisation is firmly constructed on this foundation. If you strengthen this foundation more and more, I do not have doubt in my mind that the next mayor of Pune will be from the NCP,” said Jayant Patil, state president, NCP.

The Rashtravadi Parvar Samvad initiative is being implemented under Jayant Patil’s leadership. He was speaking after the Samvad Yatra arrived in Pune on Tuesday.

The NCP is a family of numerous party workers. The concept is to communicate with workers, who form the core of the party. Hence, its state unit chief Jayant Patil is leading the initiative, Rashtravadi Parivar Samvad. The Samvad Yatra arrived in Pune. MP Supriya Sule, MP Vandana Chavan, state women’s wing president Rupali Chakankar, state youth wing president Mehboob Sheikh and Sunil Gavhane were among the prominent party leaders present.

A review meeting of the Vadgaon Sheri, Hadapsar, Parvati, Pune Cantonment assembly segments was held at the Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan. All party cell heads interacted with party workers. Jayant Patil praised the work done by NCP city unit chief Prashant Jagtap.

Patil said, “Prashant Jagtap took the lead and set up a new party office in the city. Party workers have now started working enthusiastically. You all worked unitedly for the party organisation and booth committees in the last state polls. As a result, MLA Sunil Tingre and MLA Chetan Tupe were elected to Vidhan Sabha. We fell short of preparation in the Khadakwasla and Parvati segments. Our colleagues lost by a slender margin there. The electoral roll and booth committees are the foundation of the party organisation. The party stands firmly on this foundation. If this foundation is strengthened in the civic polls, I have no doubts in my mind that the next Pune mayor will be from the NCP, “ said Patil.
