Pune Traffic : Cops to physically monitor travel time on routes riddled with potholes, bottlenecks

Pune: The Pune Traffic Department has decided to step into the shoes of commuters and will be physically measuring the travel time required from one particular destination to another. Issues like traffic, potholes, bottle necks will be looked into, this will be going on for a month and then will proceed with the actual work.

One constable from every division will be roaming across the city in civil dress during the day at 8 am, 12 pm, 2 pm and 6 pm to understand the issues that commuters face.

Dressed in a civil attire, constables from traffic divisions across the jurisdictions of Pune Municipal Corporation limits will choose a starting point and ending point for the travel and will study the route thoroughly.
