Pune: Students should learn environment-friendly, latest technology: Shobhatai R Dhariwal

Pune: RMD Foundation Vice-President Shobhatai Dhariwal felicitated meritorious students of the Rasiklal M Dhariwal English Medium School in Kondhwa.

Addressing the students, Shobhatai Dhariwal said, “Students should preserve our Indian culture and follow its traditions and moral values. They should not fall prey to addiction. They should become nature lovers. It is very unfortunate that some students are becoming addicts. Teachers, parents and all sections of society should look into this.”

The students of SSC and HSC (Science and Commerce) who passed with distinction were appreciated by distributing certificates and prizes. Students of the RMD English Medium School continued their annual tradition of appearing in the merit list.

She appealed to students to gain the latest technology available in the world. Shobhatai Dhariwal inaugurated the Smart Panel Board and the Computer Laboratory set up on the school premises by the RMD Foundation.

The school was started with two students in a small room in 2001. Today, it has classes from nursery to Std XII with the Science and Commerce streams, where 1,650 students are studying. A small sapling has become a big banyan tree, said Shobhatai Dhariwal.

All teachers and non-teaching staff members and meritorious students were gifted bird nests with a feeder by the RMD Foundation. Tree plantation was done by the dignitaries present. Trustees Popatsheth Ostwal, Lalit Ostwal and other trustees, Principal Swati Bahulekar, Vice-Principle Sandhya Nadgowda, Dnyaneshwar Deshmukh, teachers and non-teaching staff, students and parents were present.
