Pune: Sport Coach Booked by Hinjewadi Police for Submitting Fake Documents for the Shiv Chhatrapati Award
Pune: In order to give the Shiv Chhatrapati Award to his students, a coach from Pune submitted false documents to the government. In this regard, a coach has been booked by the police. This incident took place between the years 2019–20, 2020–21, and 2021–22 at Prabhat Road, Erandwane, and Pune.
After Ganesh Popat Patil (age 45), a resident of Erandwane, filed a complaint in this regard, Hinjewadi police lodged a case against coach Ashutosh Murlidhar Jagtap, a resident of Pune.
Patil complained that Jagtap was required to submit an affidavit of his practice players to get the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award. For that, Jagtap took a hundred rupees worth of stamp paper in the name of Patil’s son and prepared a fake certificate on it. Patil complained that by deliberately submitting those fake documents to the government, Jagtap defrauded the government. In this regard, Hinjewadi police are doing further investigation.
