Pune Ring Road Project – Land Acquisition | Highest 1,601-hectare private land acquisition for Ring Road

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –   Pune Ring Road Project – Land Acquisition | The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is going to acquire 1,740 hectares of land for the proposed Ring Road around Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. The Ring Road will help ease traffic issues in the two cities. Hence, the MSRDC has proposed to build the 172-km long and 110-m wide Ring Road. It has been divided into the east and west sections. The east section includes 11 villages in Maval taluka, 12 villages in Khed taluka, 15 in Haveli taluka, five in Purandar taluka and three in Bhor taluka. The west section includes five villages in Bhor taluka, 11 in Haveli, 15 in Mulshi and six in Maval taluka. Land will be acquired from Maval, Mulshi, Khed, Haveli, Purandar and Bhor talukas.

 

Both the sections are passing through Maval, Mulshi, Haveli, Bhor, Khed and Purandar talukas. A total of 83 villages are getting affected. A land survey of 77 villages has been completed. Rs 250 crore has been sanctioned and disbursed for the first phase of the project. Land acquisition has started. The land price has been fixed as per the current market rate, ready reckoner rate and land deals done in the past five years, whichever is the highest among them, said the district administration.

 

Land acquisition process

A total of 564 hectare land will be acquired by the Maval, Mulshi SDOs. Of this, 520.32 hectares consist of 0.22- hectare gairan, 23.52 forest land and 20.40 hectare belong to other state departments. The SDO Haveli will acquire 159.22-hectare private land, 2.33-hectare forest land. The SDO Purandar will purchase 146.90-hectare private land and 3.56-hectare forest land. The Khed SDO will acquire 288.95-hectare private land, 3.8-hectare gairan and 8.5-hectare belonging to various state departments.
