Pune police in action mode: Criminals who had terrorised citizens, paraded in Balajinagar
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune police | The police have taken strong action against criminals who were terrorising people in Dhankawdi by displaying sickles and sharp weapons. Six of them were arrested and were paraded in Balajinagar area by the Sahakar Nagar police. The police took this action to reduce the fear among citizens and to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
According to the police, a video had become viral on social media on April 3, where the criminals were beating up some people. The police took strong action to teach a lesson to these criminals. The police arrested them and paraded them in Balajinagar area. The accused have committed several crimes earlier. The accused have been remanded in police custody till April 8.
Many citizens had complained to the police that some criminals were spreading terror in Balajinagar area and citizens are being attacked with sickles. Vegetable vendors are being beaten up for not giving free vegetables, people are being forced to touch criminals’ feet and such incidents are being recorded and being made viral on social media to spread terror. The citizens were also upset because the police were not doing anything.
Now, the police are in action mode. After instructions from Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta, the police officials arrested the criminals and taught them a lesson.
