Pune police honoured with ‘Best Police Award’

Pune : NpNews24 OnlineThe Pune police have got the ‘Best Police Award’. This award is for 2020. Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta received the award from Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil.

 

The DGP’s office every year gives awards to various police departments in the state to boost their morale. The ‘Best Police Award’ was given to the Pune police. A meeting of senior police officials took place in Mumbai recently under the chairmanship of Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil. During this meeting, Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta was presented the ‘Best Police Award’, certificate and a medal. On the occasion DGP Rajnish Seth, Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Anand Limaye and senior police officials were present.

 

From the Maharashtra police force, in 2020, in more than 7,000 cases in the state, the Pune police made their mark on various components like bringing the crime to light, proving of crime, administration, establishment, public relations etc. Hence, the Pune police were honoured with the ‘Best Police Award’. Speaking on the occasion, Walse-Patil said, “The efforts and hard work of all police officials and policemen have yielded positive results. In the future also, the police will work hard and enhance the image of the police force.’’

 

Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta said, “All police officials and policemen have received the award for their hard work. This award will help the police to perform better and boost their morale.’’
