Pune: Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta appeals builders to come forward and file complaints against harassment

Pune : Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta has appealed to the builder community to come forward and file complaints if they being harassed by anyone.
Speaking at the Special General Body Meeting of CREDAI-Pune Metro, Gupta said, “There are many miscreant groups who harass and torture builders over ransom issues to fill their pockets. We often receive complaints against such groups. But still, we urge developers to fully cooperate with the police and file a complaint at the right time so we can take legal action against such groups.”
PMRDA CEO and Commissioner Suhas Divse and members of CREDAI-Pune Metro including President Suhas Merchant and Secretary Aditya Javdekar were present.
Gupta said, “Developers can also send their complaints online to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW). They must install CCTV cameras in all residential societies for safety against anti-social elements. Already there are over 10,000 cameras in the city and we are planning to add 14,000 more. It will also help us tackle the issue of accidents on sites and make investigations easier. I also urge developers to take proper precautions and install warning signals at construction sites to prevent accidents. I want to make Pune a safe city for all.”
Suhas Divse while speaking on the development plan (DP) of Pune said that PMRDA will play a crucial role in coming years as the town planning will have to be done at micro-level.
“Sustainability of the resources will be the key and while making residential and industrial townships, we’ll have to focus on the issues of water, drainage and solid waste management in each region. I urge CREDAI members to come up with schemes and implement new ideas to work on these issues,” he said.
Also the first mobile app of CREDAI-Pune Metro is all set to be launched on November 15. This app will provide authentic information related to real estate among other news. It will also provide information on the management of events, daily news on real estate and will also have a member directory. The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store or Apple Store.
“There is lots of fake news on Whatsapp regarding the real estate industry. The CREDAI app will provide authentic information for members and will keep everyone up-to-date with the latest happenings,” said Suhas Merchant.
