Man kills wife as she was a hurdle in his extra-marital affair, held in Nagpur
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Pimpri Crime | A man strangled his wife, locked his house and escaped. The police nabbed the man and his paramour in Nagpur. The victim has been identified as Kirti Bedekar alias Kirti Ashish Bhosale (19), a resident of Wakad. (Pune Pimpri Crime)
The victim’s aunt lodged a complaint at the Hinjawadi police station in this regard. The police registered an offence against Ashish Bhosale (23), a resident of Wakad.
According to the police, Kirti hailed from Thoseghar, Satara dist. She was staying with her elder sister in Lonavala. She eloped with Bhosale last October and married him. Bhosale hails from Saswad. Kirti had come to meet the complainant after six months. When she was asked how she was doing, she started crying. She told her aunt that Bhosale had illicit relationship with one of his colleagues. She had seen him with her on a couple of occasions. Hence, she asked him why he was speaking to her. Ashish then got upset and beat up Kirti. The complainant had tried to pacify her then.
Later, Kirti Bhosale’s neighbour experienced foul smell from her house on July 20. They reported the matter to the police, who broke open the door and found Kirti lying unconscious. The police took her to the Aundh Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. She had scars on her neck. Bhosale had strangled her with a dupatta. Later, he fled after locking the house.
On the same day, the police had registered a missing young woman’s complaint. While searching for her, the police located her with Ashish Bhosale in Nagpur. The Hinjawadi police nabbed them with the help of the Sitabardi police from Nagpur.
Bhosale had threatened the young woman that his wife had committed suicide and if she did not go with him to Nagpur, he would also end life.
