Pune Pashan Lake | No entry for love birds to Pashan lake garden

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Pashan Lake | The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to ban the entry for love birds to the Pashan Lake garden and its premises. Almost all municipal gardens in the city close at 8 pm. Hence, unmarried couples do not have a place to spend time at. So, they sit along the Z Bridge or are seen roaming on the premises of Pashan Lake. They have now been banned to enter the lake area. The decision has been taken as a security measure.

The PMC’s Garden Department has banned entry for love birds to the lake area as bird watchers find it difficult to move around due to their presence. The lake is known as a habitat of various bird and tree species. It is a favourite spot for nature lovers and ornithologists. However, the number of unmarried couples has been growing in its surroundings, which is causing issues to bird watchers.

Local citizens and bird watchers have been complaining about the growing presence of such couples in the area. Citizens have been trying to preserve the lake and its ecosystem. The lake and its surroundings are being polluted. Hence, efforts are being made to stop this.

The PMC has taken a serious note of this and banned the entry of love birds in the area. The civic body has warned of action against unmarried couples in the lake area.
