The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, which is the first sarvajanik (public) Ganesh mandal in the country, every year creates decorations based on huge palaces. This year, an imaginary palace, Omkar Mahal, which evokes a royal feel, has been created. Omkar Mahal has been conceptualised by Janhavi Dhariwal-Balan and the carvings have been inspired by the cloth of the ancient era and has been presented like the Kundan ornament. The mahal has been decorated with beautiful flowers. ‘Om Gan Ganpataye Namo Nama’, a mantra, has been written on the top of the sanctum sanctorum. Because of the chanting of the mantra, the atmosphere in the sanctum sanctorum will always be pleasant and devotional.
A tree put up near the mahal has been decked up with a traditional bell and beautiful flowers. It will be a symbol of love, happiness and satisfaction which is an important part of our lives. The place of worship in the sanctum sanctorum of the mahal is a source of divine inspiration and along with the ‘Om Gan Ganpataye Namo Nama’ mantra, attractive artwork has been created, said Punit Balan, Festive Head of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust.
