Pune News | Idol making workshop held in pune for special children

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune News | On the 21st of August’22, an event named “Idol making workshop” was arranged by the collaboration of the Titiksha Mental health foundation and the Green Nandanvan foundation at Divyang Kalyankari Shikshan Sanstha under the guidance of Artist Shiva Potdar. Green Nandanvan foundation works for a sustainable environment. The workshop was an initiative to promote mental health through an eco-friendly art activity. (Pune News)

 

 

 

It was an attempt to celebrate the Ganesh festival by making the Ganesha sculpture from Shadu Clay. Moreover, sculpture-making has a positive effect on a person’s mental health. It gives kids immense joy when they make Ganesha idols by themselves.

 

The foremost attraction of the workshop was the diversity of participants. Most of the children were specially abled. Watching children with disabled hands, intellectual disabilities, and hearing impairments making the idol very calmly was inspiring and mesmerizing. All the children were felicitated with the certificates. The entire event was cherished by the parents and school staff.
