“The MahaRERA has appointed a retired senior officer from the Revenue Department. The officer follows up such cases continuously with the District Collectors, Deputy Collectors and Tehsildars. This has sped up the recovery in such cases. The MahaRERA has decided to appoint retired Tehsildars, on an experimental basis, to increase the efficiency in recovery from divisions such as Mumbai suburbs division and Pune division, where the number of cases and amounts is high. Similar appointments will be made elsewhere also depending on the need.”
