Pune Lodha Belmondo Project | Lodha Group’s Macrotech Developers Ltd allegedly cheat hundreds of flat holders; agitation threatened
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Lodha Belmondo Project | The 2,800 flat holders in Lodha Belmondo project at Gahunje on Pune-Mumbai Expressway have alleged that they have been cheated by Macrotech Developers Ltd, a company owned by Lodha Group which belongs to the State Minister of Tourism, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Mangalprabhat Lodha. The flat holders have warned to protest against the cheating on January 22. Supreme Court Adv. Shri Ram Pingle, through a letter, said that the flat holders will fight against this as well as in the court. (Pune Lodha Belmondo Project)
Over 2,800 flat buyers in the Lodha Belmondo Project have been cheated. The agreement was made violating the due process without taking the customer into confidence. The letter mentioned that many misdeeds took place like exorbitant amount being charged in the name of maintenance, quality of construction not maintained, society not established, conveyance deed not executed, societies and federations formed and registered by customers were deregistered, maintenance account not shown despite repeated demands by flat holders, etc.
Cabinet minister Lodha has undermined the MOFA and Rera Act. The flat was not handed over on the dates given in the agreement. It is said in the letter that while the society is expected to be established and conveyed within four months after the completion of the project and the building, the cabinet minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha is behaving arbitrarily. Also, copies of the insurance policy were not given even after repeated requests. The letter states that the cost of insurance of our own loans is being paid from the society’s account and has not yet been audited.
When the flat holders of the project tried to raise their voice against these violations, they were deliberately harassed by various government agencies. Also, as concerned police, local administration, politicians and related government agencies are working in favour of the cabinet Minister, the flat holders have demanded that the misuse of government agencies should be stopped.
