Pune is no more Covid-19 hotspot, PMC wants image makeover

Pune : Maharashtra has been the most affected state due to corona and Pune has been the hotspot. Corona’s graph has been declining for several days in a row. The administration is relieved that the number of corona patients continues to decline and is working to erase the city’s image as a corona hotspot. The number of new patients and deaths has been declining for 20 consecutive days. Therefore, the administration has said that new measures will be taken to bring the situation under complete control.
The number of corona patients in Pune has been declining for the past few days and the number of active patients in the city has come down to 8,000 on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, there was an increase of 428 positive patients during the day, while 758 patients were discharged during the day. The number of patients recovering in the last few days is high.
So the comforting information has now come out of the Jumbo Covid Center, which was in debate a few months ago. A different type of patient is recovering from the Jumbo Covid Center and returning home. Recently, a 91-year-old man overcame the corona infection. The name of this Corona warrior is Narayan Ramchandra Shelar.
Shelar fought against Corona staying at the Jumbo Covid Center for 25 days. He was suffering from coughing and shortness of breath due to coronavirus infection. So he was admitted to Jumbo Hospital. He finally defeated Corona and was discharged on Wednesday. The Corona Warriors at the Jumbo Center, along with all his family, expressed happiness that the old man was recovering well and going home.
Earlier, Sangeeta Pandhare, a 55-year-old critically ill female patient from Yavat in Daund taluka of Pune district, had fought against corona for 31 days and won the battle. Despite being on a ventilator for eight days, she overcame the Corona due to her strong willpower and the efforts of all the Corona Warriors there.
Old man Narayan Shelar was being examined and questioned by the doctors from time to time. Also, regular contact with the family was possible, Shelar said, adding that he was satisfied with the service at Jumbo. His family also thanked all the Corona Warriors and the administration at the Jumbo Covid Center.
Taking a lesson from all the mistakes made earlier, the administration is now taking more care at Jumbo.
“All types of patients are treated very carefully in Jumbo. Corona Warriors are working hard to ensure that every patient recovers from corona and goes back home. It is a reassuring picture that the patients are recovering well,” said Rubal Agarwal, Executive Chairman, Jumbo Covid Center and Additional Municipal Commissioner.
