Pune: Indu Infotech Company Faces Legal Action as Vote Counting Setup Missed Deadline

As the Indu Infotech Company failed to complete the computer and its connection work required for the counting of votes for the assembly elections in time, the officials could not be able to do a mock rehearsal of the counting of votes. Therefore, a complaint has been registered against the representative of Indu Infotech Company. Divisional Officer Pushpa Vasant Gosavi has filed a complaint in this regard at Koregaon Park Police Station.
According to the information given by the police, the counting of votes in 8 constituencies of the assembly elections in Pune city was done at the warehouse of the Indian Food Corporation at Koregaon Park. Indu Infotech company was contracted to supply and connect computers during the counting process.
The counting was on November 23. Before that, a mock rehearsal of the counting was to be held the previous day. For this, the company had to complete this work by 11 a.m. on November 22. But they did not complete it in time. Therefore, the mock rehearsal of the counting could not be held on November 22.
As Indu Infotech Company was unable to complete this work on time, the administration finally had to get this work done by others. Due to this, there was a hindrance in this entire process. Therefore, a case has been registered against the representative of Indu Infotech Company under Section 134 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. Assistant Police Inspector Purushottam Deokar is conducting further investigation in this case.
