Pune: Indian Military to help analyse Porsche car hit-and-run case

Pune: Help is being sought from the Indian Military in the investigation into the Porsche car hit-and-run case. Military officials will analyse the accident and provide their inputs.

An officer told a news channel that their (analysis) report would help the investigation into the case. The police and the court would come to know exactly how the accident happened through the report.

New revelations are being made daily in the hit-and-run case in Kalyani Nagar. It was learnt that the doctors from the Sassoon Hospital and the Agarwal family changed the blood samples of their minor son involved in the accident to save him. The two doctors were arrested in this connection. Every individual linked to the case is being probed. As many as 10 people have been held in the case till date.

The accident took place in Kalyani Nagar in the wee hours of May 19 in Pune. It immediately became national news. The minor son of builder Vishal Agarwal hit a two-wheeler and killed two IT engineers, Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa. The impact of the accident was so severe that Ashwini was thrown 15 away and she died on the spot. There was a big outrage over the matter across the State and the country.

The 17-year-old was driving his father’s Porsche car under the influence of alcohol. An offence was registered against him under sections 279, 304(a), 337, 338, 427 of the IPC and sections 184 and 119/177 of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988. Aqib Ramzan Mulla had lodged a complaint at the Yerwada Police Station in this regard.
